What you’ll learn

You will acquire an understanding of the basic concepts of mindfulness. At the end of the day, attendees have reported feeling relaxed and refreshed. You will be able to take some of the practices and incorporate into your daily lives, whether at work or at home. Thus, the addition of mindfulness practices to your lifestyle will enable you to take steps to engender better care of your mind and body.

 

On the day

This one-day workshop is based on the Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction and the Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy programs. You will experience a series of different mindfulness practices, and each one will be followed by a group discussion. Lunch will be a mindfulness practice and eaten in silence, and the day will end with a group discussion. Afterwards, you will be provided with resources to support ongoing mindfulness practice.
