It might surprise you to learn that only 1 in 9 managers in the UK have had any form of management training before taking a management position*.
The Institute of Leadership and Management course (ILM) is a widely recognised standard which has been delivered to over 70,000 people last year, and equips them with the tools to manage, motivate and inspire others.
ID Medical School has partnered with Impact On, who is approved to deliver ILM qualifications with experience of the healthcare sector, to deliver Institute of Leadership and Management courses to the NHS. They can help your facility by providing expertly run training programmes that are tailored to suit your needs to develop your aspiring and current managers.
Following close consultation where we gain a strong understanding of your challenges and goals, we will create your custom training programme which will cover a wide range of leadership and management topics. This will ensure your managers have the necessary skill set to maximise their effectiveness in the workplace.
What your programme can include:
These are examples of what can be included. The programme is tailored through close consultation to ensure it meets the needs of your hospital.
All programmes are discussed and agreed in advance and are tailored to your requirements, usually consisting of six 1-day sessions delivered on or off-site for up to 15 delegates per programme.
“The feedback I have received regarding the training sessions have always been extremely positive. It has always been felt that they have great communication skills with all groups and keep them highly motivated in order for them to complete their programmes.
“Their grasp of the trusts need to provide the best training we can that is relevant to our workforce but within the remit of the ILM syllabus is appreciated and the feedback we have received from staff about them has been excellent.“
