Held on Thursday 13 November at St George’s Hall in Liverpool, the annual Mersey Care NHS Trust Awards for Positive Achievement recognise the good work, commitment to caring, and personal and collective achievement of everyone connected to mental health, learning disability and addiction services across Merseyside.
Harjit Nandha, who manages the Mental Health recruitment division at ID Medical commented, “Once again we are honoured to be a part of Mersey Care NHS Trust Awards for Positive Achievement, to spend time among some of the most inspirational healthcare professionals who are making a real difference to the Trust’s mental health services.
“A recent survey revealed that more than a quarter of people have experienced a mental health problem and highlighted that unfortunately, there is still some stigma surrounding mental health.
“From a recruitment perspective, the demand for mental health professionals in particular is growing; ID Medical’s mental health division currently has 2,000 mental health professionals available to work and this number of growing daily. However, it is not just about staffing concerns; everyone within healthcare must help tackle the stigma surround mental health and mental health services.
