Band 6 Podiatrist

We have an exciting new opportunity for a Band 6 Podiatrist.

Duties:


- Provide specialist podiatry services.


- Assess, diagnose and manage the on-going primary care of patients with 'at risk' foot health status. Treat wounds (deficiencies in circulatory and neurological supplies and reduced tissue viability); patients with painful gait anomalies (through biomechanical assessment and the prescription/manufacture of appropriate orthoses) and patients with onychocryptosis (through the use of local anaesthetics and surgery).


- To manage an identified caseload of patients and undertake all associated communication and liaison with other health care professionals.


- To provide safe and adequate record keeping within the EMIS - electronic patient record system


Requirements: Full UK driving licence and car owner.


Experience: Podiatry wound care of the diabetic and non-diabetic foot
