ID Medical Insourcing provider is seeking an experienced and motivated Ophthalmology Nurse-in-Charge to lead and coordinate insourced nursing services within our Ophthalmology Department.


This is a key leadership role responsible for ensuring the safe, effective, and efficient delivery of high-quality ophthalmic care across outpatient clinics, ward, diagnostic areas, and theatre settings. You will provide clinical leadership to insourced nursing staff, support service delivery targets, and work closely with ophthalmologists, managers, and multidisciplinary teams.

Requirements:


The applicant must be a Registered Nurse with significant ophthalmology experience, strong leadership skills, and the ability to manage complex clinical and operational demands. You will be confident working autonomously, supporting staff, and driving high standards of care in a fast-paced environment.

Role Overview


- Ophthalmic clinical expertise


- Undertake ophthalmic assessments including: Visual acuity testing (Snellen, logmar, kay pictures, Sheridan, amsler, ishihara). Expert in Slit lamp examination. Ability to check the anterior segment of the eye. Ability to carry out VH examination, Intraocular pressure measurement
