Consultant Old Age Psychiatry

We have an exciting new opportunity for a Consultant specialising in Old Age Psychiatry in Cambridge.

Vacancy Type: Full-Time

Contract Type: Permanent

Start Date: ASAP

End Date: 28.02.2026

Shift Days: Monday - Friday

Shift Times: 09:00am - 17:00pm

Duties: Old Age Psychiatry - Provide medical input into the multidisciplinary team, working into the CRHTT (which includes the Dementia Intensive Support Team (DIST)) caseload, which includes people needing urgent MH input. Assessment and treatment initiation/ review /planning for patients on the caseload to avoid admission where possible. Take part in risk assessment and management of complex patients. The team work in the community and this will involve home visits. May involve MHAAs. Liaison with community teams and inpatient wards as required.
