What are cookies?

Types of cookies we use

These are divided into three categories:

1. Necessary cookies

PHPSESSID End of browser session This is a general purpose identifier used to maintain your session variables. These cookies store temporary information to enable site functionality. They are automatically deleted when you close your browser.
XSRF-TOKEN Temporary This protects the session from cross-site request forgeries. Cross-site request forgeries are a type of malicious exploit whereby unauthorized commands are performed on behalf of the authenticated user.
laravel_session Temporary This provides a way to store information about your session requests.
laravel_mage_sess_id Temporary This is used by the ID Shop to determine an active session
ow_cookie_notice 1 month This is used by the ID Shop to determine if you have accepted the Cookies message
Local Storage Temporary This saves data on your computer to speed up performance of the website applications, as it reduces the number of database queries that are needed on the server.

2. Performance cookies

These simply help us improve the way our website works. They tell us how people use each page, which ones are most commonly viewed, or whether any errors occurred.

3. Third party cookies

These cookies provide information to our third party news portal. They provide functionality to you when viewing our news stories or blog, such as social sharing. They also tell them visitor volume and type to our news and blog pages.

_atuvc 2 years This is created and read by the AddThis social sharing site JavaScript on the client side in order to make sure you see the updated count if you share a page and return to it before our share count cache is updated.
__atuvs 1 hour This cookie is associated with the AddThis social sharing widget which is commonly embedded in websites to enable visitors to share content with a range of networking and sharing platforms.
_chartbeat2 1 year This is used to register if a person has visited the domain before (to calculate “new vs returning” users)
_cb 1 year This is set to use real time analytics software by Chartbeat.
_cb_is 1 year This is set to use real time analytics software by Chartbeat.
