On Friday 23rd October, staff at ID Medical took part in Wear it Pink as they stood together to raise money for Breast Cancer Now and helped to support their aim of ensuring no one is defeated by breast cancer by 2050.

As a collective, ID Medical raised £641.85 for the charity that funds world-class breast cancer research projects, doubling lastyear’s fundraising total.

Breast cancer touches the lives of millions of people in the UK. For every woman or man who develops breast cancer, there are families, friends and loved ones who also feel the fear and uncertainty the disease brings. By wearing it pink, ID Medical was able to help the 50,000 women and 350 men diagnosed with breast cancer each year in the UK.

Thus last Friday saw ID Medical add a dash of colour to its usual smart attire as staff made a minimum donation of £2 for the great cause. Year-on-year the Milton Keynes-based recruiter supports national charities and campaigns, in addition to local charities, hospitals, candidates, clients and with Wear it Pink being a firm favourite internal fundraiser within the ID Medical calendar.

Now in its 14th year, Wear it Pink has raised over £2 million every year for world-class breast cancer research and this ongoing battle continues. It’s never too late to support the UK’s biggest pink fundraiser, make the difference today by helping fund this research.

  • £10 could buy 15 flasks for growing cancer cells, essential for developing new treatments.
  • £25 could buy 100 pipette tips used for handling cells, helping our researchers accurately study how breast cancer develops and how it spreads.
  • £50 could buy the tools needed to change the DNA of one cell line, which allows our scientists to identify the genetic changes that drive secondary breast cancer.

Together with Breast Cancer Now, we are a force more powerful than breast cancer – we will make the difference!
